Layalina Middle Eastern Restaurant

I LOVE Layalina! their food is always made with care and it nourishes the soul. I work nearby and usually get their chicken plate for lunch because it's a great value and consistently good. Sometimes I even have leftovers for the next day because it's so filling. Their beef plate is also delicious, as is the falafel sandwich. I haven't been to their shop in person yet but every time I get anything from DoorDash it is packed with great care. I also love they don't charge extra for sides on the plate meal. Everything is always so fresh and flavorful. Beyond grateful that we have such a solid middle eastern restaurant. KEEP DOING WHAT YOU'RE DOING!

Wow! What a gem of a spot in downtown Biddeford. I am so happy we ordered take out from here. I called ahead of time and our food was ready when they told us it would be. We got the family pack for 5 which was a sampling of all their kabobs on a big bead of rice with veggies a delicious salad on the side. DO NOT SKIP ON THE GARLIC SAUCE- it was so good. The owner was super friendly and happy to greet us when we arrived. We will be back.Also, the serving was very generous…we had 5 adults and 3 little kids eating with plenty of leftovers for tomorrow!

I only noticed this place existed a week or so ago looking for takeout while I waited for my daughter to wrap up practice. I ordered the chicken tikka plate and it was delicious! The hummus was creamy and tasty, the chicken was seasoned just right, the rice was cooked perfectly. I'll absolutely be back.

During these cold, dark, and shortened southern Maine nights, Layalina is the bright sun over a vast Middle Eastern landscape, warming our lives with flavors and service that titillate our senses and enthrall the imagination of what a good dining experience can be in Biddeford.The revelation that is the Lamb biryani harkens to a simpler time with family and loved ones coming together for a celebration hosted my grandparents and elders dispensing wisdom and telling stories of adventures of a more unbridled and less restrained youth.The stars of a dark and clear eastern sky are matched by the variety and wonder on offering in the pastry case. The fıstıklı sarma, an intense concentration of skill and quality pistachio flavors really hits the spot.Would I recommend Layalina to someone that enjoys Middle Eastern cuisine in a clean and friendly establishment? Too late, I already have.

Great first experience. Got a Gyro and Falafel sandwich. Both were huge and we took half of each home. Also got some desert. YUM! The proprietor was friendly and engaging. We’ll be back.

A beautifully warm and inviting restaurant, in Biddeford, what a gem for the area! I had the pleasure of eating here for the first time recently and was blown away. Delicious sweets with Turkish, Indian and Kuwaiti influences, and fresh, flavorful Middle Eastern plates and sandwiches. My only regret…I wish I had travelled to eat here sooner!

A on service and taste. The gentlemen that answered the phone was very courteous and helpful. I am not very familiar with Mediterranean or middle eastern flavors or cuisine besides having a few gyros in my lifetime. I ordered a gyro sandwich, which I normally order with tzatziki sauce. Their options were garlic, tahini or hot sauce. He offers to make a sauce I would like on it with yogurt. A service. He explained that gyro and shawarma would have different flavors. And he was right. The lamb shawarma sandwich was so pleasing to my palate. This was made with the tahini sauce. So good. I also ordered a double pistachio baklava. I love baklava and this did not disappoint. I placed my fist in the photos for size reference. Definitely great portions for your dollar. Will definitely be recommending and returning
